About MBS

At Minnesota Behavioral Specialists, we have over 50 years of combined experience in the area of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in both center and home-based settings.

We take a team-based approach to create a custom curriculum designed specifically to meet your child’s unique needs. We believe that children do better with more hands-on involvement from both the behavior therapists and our skilled management team.

Our customized ABA therapy program limits rote responding and encourages unique responses to each situation. The goal is to help your child be as successful as possible with little or no support. As they age out of our program, we work to ensure that they can carry over the skills learned during therapy into their teenage years and beyond.

Additionally, families are taught how to handle new situations that may arise outside of our training environment for a greater chance of success post-therapy.

Why Minnesota Behavioral Therapists?

You have a lot of choices when it comes to behavioral therapy in Minnesota, but what sets us apart from the rest is our team and years of experience with ABA therapy.

As a behavioral therapy provider in Minnesota, we strive to help families reach goals they may have only dreamed of. At Minnesota Behavioral Specialists, we work closely with families to develop a custom therapy program to support the unique needs of each individual child in our center or at the child’s home. We may also conduct specific evaluations (CMDE) to determine medical necessity and guide the development of the Individual Treatment Plan (ITP) and overall therapy program.

In-home

We believe in meeting your child where they’re at, and sometimes that means in-home therapy may be the best option. We offer in-home services to clients around the Twin Cities metro area, between 20-40 hours per week.

Our full-time, in-home therapy program runs from 8:30-4:30, Monday through Friday, or part-time from 8:30-12:30 or 1:00-4:30 each weekday.

In-home sessions may include community-based opportunities, peer engagement with neighbors or other family members, as well as opportunities to collaborate across learning environments, including school-based sessions. During each session, the Behavior Therapists will teach new skills as outlined in your child’s individual program.
